We moved here last year and we absolutely love Presque Isle. It offers a slower pace of life with old school values. Yes the winters are long and cold, but beautiful too with lots of activities to keep you busy. We've found the residents to be welcoming and the local businesses to be professional. There are trees everywhere. The air is clean, sweet smelling compared to larger cities.

Winters are harsh. The winter of 2007-8 dropped 198 inches of snow on us.

Heating is expensive, as most people rely on oil. Electric is actually more expensive in this environment. Learn to burn wood if you move here.
